Why change how we vote? Many reasons!

The sections below outline the case for change, starting with the ways in which your vote doesn’t fully matter under our current First-Past-the-Post voting system, regardless of whether or not you helped elect someone. The root of the problem is that FPTP doesn’t treat voters equally, and the biggest obstacle to change is the self-interest of politicians themselves. The strongest democracies – the ones that consistently outperform Canada – use more inclusive voting systems than we do, so check out the better ways to vote that they use.
