British Columbians are increasingly dissatisfied with the state of our democracy. Trust in politicians, voter turnout and satisfaction with our democratic institutions are at all-time lows, yet people’s desire to be involved in public policy development has arguably never been higher.
Fair Voting BC believes that much can be done to improve our democratic institutions and processes. We are currently running a survey of all parties and candidates in the current election to express their thoughts on a wide range of democratic reform ideas organized into the three broad themes of Engagement, Representation and Accountability.
